This journal is published by the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Lampung as a means to publish research results, review articles from researchers in the fields of energy physics, materials, instruments and their applications. This journal is published four times a year (February, May, August, and November), the first volume published in 2020 under the name Journal of Energy, Materials, and Instrumentation Technology (JEMIT) with ISSN 2747-2043 and E-ISSN 2747-299X.

The first issue of this journal is in Indonesian. However, starting with edition vol 3 no 2, the article was published in English.
